Los Pastores| Folk Play

Los Pastores- Sangre de Cristo Liturgies presents the annual production of 🎭 Los Pastores. This traditional Spanish/English-language folk musical/ play, known as Los Pastores (The Shepherds) dramatizes the journey of shepherds to visit the newborn Baby Jesus. The play combines religious themes with local, folklore. It features a conflict between the shepherds, guided by the Archangel Michael, and the Devil, Lucifer, who tries to stop them. The struggle culminates with good defeating evil, allowing the shepherds to safely reach the manger to see The Baby Jesus.

This year, the cast dedicates this performance in honor and memory of San Luis locals, Emilio and Juanita Maloff Dominguez. They performed Los Pastores for many, many years. 2025 marks the 44th year this play has been in production. It has become a Christmas institution for many generations. We hope to see you there keeping this Christmas tradition alive.

This is a free family event, donations are welcome for those inclined.
